Luis Mario is a Partner with Calderon & De La sierra and is the head of the New Tecnologies & Privacy and Data Protecion law practice in the firm.
Since 2012, he has focused his profesional practice on Business Law, New Tecnologies and Privacy and Data Protection, includind legal “Compliance” of companies, e-commerce, regulation of technological platforms, apps, web pages, electronic agreements, information security, privacy and data protection, among others.
As a professional, he has worked in many of the most recognized law firms of our country, as well as in companies of the private sector and institutions of the public sector, he initiated his own practice at Platero, Galicia, Lemus & Asociados as founding partner, providing legal services in corporate, new technologies, Intellectual Property and Administrative.
Likewise, he has experience in Administrative Litigation, including the Procedures for Protection of Rights, Verification and Imposition of Sanctions related to the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
In addition to his degree in Law at the Universidad Anáhuac México Norte, Luis Mario studied, among others, a Master’s Degree in Business Law at the Universidad Panamericana (UP), obtaining a Master’s Degree in Business Law with honors.
Luis Mario is currently prefessor of the Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) Law Diploma, at Universidad Pnamericana, one of the top-level universities in México.
Currently, Luis Mario is certified as “Professional in Personal Data Protection and Information Security issued by “Centro de Normalización Y Certificación Electrónica, S.C.” (No. CDPF-003-15).
He is an active member of the Mexican Academy of ICTs Law (AMDI), where he holds the position of chairman of the Right to be Forgotten, and also is a member of the Phi Delta Phi international legal fraternity.
